edit filter

A little timesaver I discovered when I was working with the smart tool/edit filter:
Press down the scroll wheel on the mouse to get the floating smart tool menu (I guess everybody knows this already), then just scroll down and the edit filter menu appears (you don't have to put the cursor over the editfilter button) and you can choose what to edit.
No big deal, but it save you almost 0.5 sec. everytime and one less click

Really hard to do though..... apparently.

You can also shift-click on what you want to edit, envelope, clip etc and get switched straight to that mode too.

I know about the shift-click option, but you can't use that before you've added an envelope (or am I wrong?).

No you're correct, it's only a way to change edit focus, not create an envelope.
