eko - the fourth (11) Not Without You

I think this song might be one of my songs that need more attention in the mix than the others it sound a bit rough now? My friend MaxB helped me with the choir. http://soundcloud.com/egon1/notwithoutyou45 Feel free to comment on all as usual - thanks

There's a lot to like about this song.  The backup vocals blend into the chorus very well, and the arrangement is well thought out.  I listened to the tune several times because its is pleasant to listen to.  The break at the 2:00 mark is cool and fits like a glove.  My suggestion would be to pan some of the elements a bit wider because the whole mix sounds a bit narrow in scope.  The obvious thing would be to widen the guitar tracks and backing vocals to give them some separation in the stereo field.  This would also help the lead vocal to pop out of the mix a little more.  Other than that, you have a possible gem on your hands with a small tweak here and there.

    All the best,
    Lynn

Thnx Marcus I sometimes try to do a little specially harmony changes and sometimes some odd middle play. I think the next one will be a little more rock to it... Why is it that most of the answers happens to land in the same row even if I use return in the writing?

Ooops I can hear myself here. :-) That means I'm close to fame! :-) I like your playful skills! Still I haven't found your great track 'Got To Leave' at the cakewalk-forum.
