e-mu 1212m beta drivers problem

i installed the beta drivers for my 1212m in windows 7 64..  windows recognizes the card fine as e-mu e-dsp but patchmix 2.1 won't install because it doesn't detect a card??
the cd it came with (vista 64 drivers) installed fine...

people are reporting the beta works for them.. any ideas??

missing interconect cable between the 2 cards?  I have this card, but on Visa 32.

ok apparently the new drivers are installed.. i had to install the cd that came with the card and then install the beta drivers over the top of the old ones??
thats what i did and it seems to have worked.. device manager gives a date of 2.23.2010 i believe under driver so it must be the latest one.

i just wish there was basic info like this posted anywhere on the net.. it seems 1212m users on windows 7 are scarce
next i want to get my powercore element working!!

the vista 64 drivers were giving me smooth soft-synth operation at the lowest asio latency (5.6ms roundtrip)
so here's hoping the beta is better! or the same lol

         i'm running a dell xps 630i core 2 duo e8400 @ 3 GHz
6gb ram and nvidia geforce 9800 gt (currently no nvidia drivers installed!)

windows 7 home premium x64 with cakewalk sonar 8.5.3 producer
ide drive for os and larger, faster sata drive for audio

i will keep updating as i test further..

I've been using the Vista x64 drivers in Windows 7 x64 and they are working fine.  Latency could be a little lower but that has always been a problem with this card.

jim the vista drivers worked fine for me too (altho i just upgraded to 7 and have done minimal testing)

thought i'd try the new ones..

i don't mind mixing at higher latency but soft synth recording at low latency for me is essential...
especially as i prefer to play by hand without quantize

usually i will track at the lowest latency and then mix after parts are recorded with a higher buffer setting

can you use the on-board fx?? the website says no but i believe some forum posted a workaround..
