error with Platinum and Waves - SOLVED
I've been using Waves plugins with Sonar for years. I just purchased GRT3 and installed it from Waves Central. But it wasn't showing up in Platinum, so I did a scan of failed plugins. A window came up that said there was an error with waveshell, and I had to disable it. Now, none of Waves' plugins show up in Sonar. How do I enable my Waves plugins? Thanks, Greg

Hi. Just do a rescan, and include failed plugins. If the same message comes up again, click to not disable the WaveShell. All the best.

Be sure to D/L the newest Waveshell and run the install program. After you've done that and have your licenses available on the machine, cloud or USB stick, run the plug in manager and be sure to reset it so it will build a new plug in registry. If you don't see the new plug right away, try to toggle the display filter in the plug in browser between type and manufacturer. This will sometimes reveal a hidden plug. Waves is one vendor that I always use the default locations during installs.

Nothing is working. I even uninstalled and reinstalled Waves v9. When I scan, it keeps stopping at ig75icd32.dll. I have no idea what that is. And a runtime error comes up. It's Cakewalk\SharedUtilities\BitBridge.exe. Again, I don't know what that is. I don't know what to do at this point. Greg

Sounds like maybe it's an issue between 32 and 64 bit versions. Bitbridge is the program that allows you to run 32 bit plugs in a 64 bit system. I would Google the error report. If you just bought the plug-in then you should be able to contact Waves for assistance. You could always take a flyer at Cake tech support. They have a contact page.

When I Google "ig75icd32.dll", it seems to be related to a Intel Graphics card. Do you have that? If so, perhaps try to update drivers? I may be way off on this, as I'm not a pc guy. Hope it helps. All the best.

Thanks, Zargg. The issue was actually doing something someone had suggested (but not on this forum). Because I was having a problem with Superior Drummer 3, I was told to put my entire G:\ drive into the scan path in Sonar. When I deleted that scan path, everything worked. Thanks! Greg
