expanded add on question

I bought the T-RackS 3 Vintage Compressor Model 670 a while back because of reviews and a $39 sale. Anyway, I love it. With this expanded add on will I be able to use my compressor instead of the PC commpressors and do all the cool stuff it mentions?
Thanks

It will work in the FX bin but not in PC if that is what you are asking.

    Hey John

    Thanks

With expanded you can swap out modules but they must PC compliant.

It would be so cool if you could do it though... maybe someday the bus the ProChannel runs on will be open for any VST.

I'd love to slap a little gloss on top the the 670 fatness... that thing has like 20 vacuum tubes and 14 transformers in it... gloss is just the thing to make it sound up to date.

Just put the 670 in a track efx bin and then send to a bus where you have the PC enabled and you should be good to go.

    best,

Hi Frank, I bought it recently too, a great piece of gear for sure.

I only paid $20 for it from AudioMidi as one of their regular 'No Brainer' deals - it's well worth keeping an eye on their website, or sign up to receive news of any similar deals. I've managed to score some Steven Slate drum samples, the full Crysonic plugs suite, two Nomad Factory VST's and some other stuff for silly money. Check out the website HERE if you're interested.

You can do that now Mike without using a buss. Simply have the PC post FX.

What will I use for my lo-cut and gate?

That adjustable slope on the ProChannel EQ makes it a good choice for very first stage lo cut... especially because it's right there and so easy to use... plus it doesn't matter to me if the graphics are too small too see because it's just a lo cut. And, everyone knows the SSL 4k Gate is the best sounding gate ever so I'd probably have that right after the lo-cut..

How do you feel about a PC De-Esser? I'm thinking $50.

    Hey Steve

Yes, that's where I got the Steven Slate Drums for $20 also. Amazing. I missed the no brainer t racks but at least I got it for $39 instead of $99.
