export audio, loops wrong, sonar producer 7

Hello all.

I'm working with game music.

I have song that loops perfect inside sonar 7, but when I export,
there's always some extra in the audio file, like 20ms or so.
When I play the exported wav-file, it does not loop correctly.

I have checked, that there is no envelopes, or other that go outside the perfect loop point.
I have played the exported file with many players, and they all loop it wrong.

I tried un-checking the play effects after stopping in the audio menu, but no difference.
I have tried different options from the export menu, and tried exporting "main outputs" and "entire mix" with no difference.

The exported audio file have extra empty space, something about 20ms.

Any suggestions, please.
Thanks

pekka

Make sure that your clips are an EXACT number of measures. This is extremely important.

Yes, the clips are exact number.
I also tested with little off numbers, same results.

The exported wav is not much off, but enough to have annoying empty space from perfect loop.

I imported the exported file into sonar & fruity loops.
In both daw's the file loops perfectly.

I've tried several players, winamp, windows media player, vlc-player, various ubuntu audio players, but they loop the wav-file wrong.
I assume that it has something to do with the player buffer memory, but not really sure.

I have NEVER seen any instance where any version of Windows Media Player would smoothly LOOP any thing it played. I don't think you should use that as any real test. If it Loops is a daw properly - then it loops properly. You can confirm this by looping something that you already know is not the right length and should not loop correctly - put that in a daw and the loop will be off. Then you know.

    Thanks for the input.

I can play the file correctly in player called "Audacious".
I have told this to the game developer, hopefully he can make any sense of it..

The exported file is ok, it's seems that the audio players are cranky, for some reasons.
