extend length of project

Wasn't sure how to word this-very basic , but I don't remember how :

Have a clip, mbt it's 0:00 at start and 8:03:457 at the end, no click or intro. I can loop it no problem of course but how the heck do I turn it into a full length song? I thought I could just copy and paste like 10 times, but I cannot.

Sorry for the basics-been away for a while.

It's a wav btw. Just a nice groove I would like to solo to and record for friends and family.

Thanks Folks

Sure you can copy-paste it as many times as you want, but you need to get each copy start at full measure 9 bars (I assume this is the unmentioned problem??).

Did you try slip editing it to 9 bars?Hmm... If you make it a groove clip, does slip editing remain??
If nothing else helps, a popular trick is adding silent data in the clip to create a clip of desired length.
I don't remember if simply setting Snap to 1 measure does the job.
