external hard drive preference for audio production

looking for external hard drive, for Sonar x1 pro expanded; audio and video production and editing. computer tower has twin 300 gb hard drives for immediate access but need external for back-up and storage arrays. i bought a G-Technology 4 TB G drive and found that Windows XP 32 bit is limited to 2.2 TB had to send it back. What are the best external hard drives for audio production in the 2TB or less range, I can add more than one, if need be, by eSata, firewire 400/800, or USB 2.0 connectivity. thanks john :)
