fabfilter purchase
I want to purchase 3 fabfilter plugins. The eq, comp, and de-esser. I have heard that there are various discounts available depending on what you already own and a friend referral scheme. I currently don't own any fabfilter stuff at all so can someone suggest the cheapest way of doing this please. I'm assuming it wouldn't make sense to buy all 3 at the same time? Thanks

Thanks guys.... None for sale at KVR right now unfortunately, might just buy one from audio deluxe or similar to get going. Thanks Larry will take you up on that offer.

Your strategy is predicated on the presumption that you won't get the loyalty discounts buying all three at once. Better check to make sure that's true. It may be that discounts are automatically calculated based on the value of everything in your custom "bundle". In that case, it would make sense to buy them all at once AND use the 10% first-time-customer credit. It's worth posing the question to FF.

It will be less buying the first one on sale... The first one always comes in at retail at FF...and the others are based on what you own and/or are buying. I checked in my account...by adding 3 First was at retail...only the rest were discounted..

My experience with the FF site (but not as a first timer) is that discounts are automatically granted in a running total based on what is selected to purchase. Here's another option you might consider - if you have just a little extra cash to spend wisely, then wait a month or two. Historically, if memory serves, FF does a 25% bundle holidays sale every year. Pick up the mixing bundle (six plug-ins including the three you named) for a bit less than $450. You will not be sorry in the long run. Every one of those six is a total winner. I don't know if you can combine that with the 10% referral discount. Maybe someone here can provide an authoritative answer to that one.

Historically FF does not allow using the referral discount on sale items. The referral discount is applied to retail prices.

I agree with dmbaer... the mixing bundle on black fri/holidays is by far your best move... in addition to the 25% off, Jrr and maybe other shops tack on additional discounts...I think 10-15% more... I have built my Fab inventory over time but looking back, the bundle is a way better move, especially now that Fab's discounting (just recently)... The delay is just exquisite... I have a dozen and pretty much alway end up using timeless... The only thing I don't have is Saturn...love DS, Q2, C2, G and L... Have Volcano and their synth but don't really use them for the stuff I do... Have a zillion plugs... Fab has obsoleted nearly all but Stealth, Spaces, and a couple more... could a bought Fab 5 times over if I knew what I do now... You could also get the Mastering bundle and then buy DS separately, during the sale... again, JRR shop gave me the extra discount when I added DS last sale... BTW, you can full on demo any of them for a month... might wanna selectively do so... should get you close to BF in November... at least demo what you think you might not want, like Timeless (which you didn't list) so you can just go the mastering bundle if you don't feel it's "you"...

Gonna wait a year or so before jumping in. Still pretty much a presets guy, with some tweaking, somewhere between EZmix and Alloy/Ozone with T-RackS added in for good measure. Guess I'll be ready to play with the adults next year and get FF then.

I don't view it that way, Fleer... many do totally amazing things with IK and oZone... I just decided on Fab as I was already into it and couldn't afford both. It's also what speaks to ya... I'm a visual kinda guy... can't handle all the knobby thingys...

hmm...either the mail is slow...or it didn't go though...don't know which... and maybe it's because I'm not a new customer...I don't know...but it doesn't say anything about having to be a new customer...
Tell a friend about FabFilter plug-ins... and save even moreWould you like to save even more money on your next purchase? Maybe even get a plug-in for free? Then just spread the word! Your friends will get a 10% discount on any FabFilter plug-in or bundle. And for each friend who places an order within two months, you will receive $12 credit which you can spend on any future purchase via your account.
I don't see anything about having to be a NEW customer...just refer a friend and save...
