I like where this is leading to but the drum track didn't do anything for me at all for this type of music . A nice heart pounding bass track would make more interesting , good WIP song project . Radio

I can appreciate that.. these are only programmed drums on this track, not played on Vdrums or anything. You are right about WIP too, that it very much is.

Well put together well done, although with a vocal or as radio said maybe even a bass hook, you would lose interest relatively quick. Anyone your production sounds more upfront and punchier than mine!

Much like most of my stuff, it needs vocals for sure. I kind of write these things with the intent that vocals can be added so I try not to lay down too many things. Some of my older stuff is like that.. real thick and not the most accommodating for a vocal track, so I have been trying to do more 'vocal friendly' stuff rather than straight instrumentals. Thanks for the advice guys!

really nice full, thick guitar tone, but still reveals the chord's subtleties...good skill! yes, now needs some melody to take it to the next level, but i like it! drums work fine. be good to see where it goes next...

Very nice. Well layed out and produced. Have you thought about changing it up to have a mellow section even for a short 4 bars worth?

Hi Tap, yes I had.. in fact that's typically more my style to mix it up like that. This time around I just wanted to make a straight simple rocker so I actually had to make a point not to throw some mellow bars.

Hey, Sean, You've got a very cool metal fest going on here! Nice thick layered guitar tone and great playing, with some really nice changeups thrown in that keep it really interesting. Good stuff, man! Bob

I want to thank the people who gave me their input and critiques. I put together a slightly different mix based on some of the advice I received and I think it's the better for it. Original link has been updated with new mix in case anyone is curious about the results. Thank you!
