Sonar 6 and QT Video Format

So I am trying to determine what the right output format is to have QuickTime video actually import into Sonar 6. I have successfully climbed the mountain for WMA format, but after hours of trying I cannot seem to get any QuickTime output file to work for me.

Description of environment:

I am using Adobe Premier CS3 to generate 4 minute or so file which contains Video and Audio

I wish to save as a QuickTime file and then bring into Sonar 6

Seems like no matter how I save the file, Sonar says it is not a valid format...

I would have thought MPEG-4 at 29.97 frames and uncompressed Audio would have been a no-brainer, but apparently not....nor does H261, H262, H264 or any other normal QT formats.

QT Player will play the files just fine on the machine with Sonar installed so I know they are good files and QT is functional.

System is Windows Vista Business 32 Bit with SP1. Sonar is version 6.2.1

Any assistance here would be greatly appreciated. I can do this with WMA but then I cannot leverage end resulting file on the iPod with iTunes which is the point of the exercise.

Use the Motion Jpeg A codec in your mov file. Sonar loves it.

      Control Panel
      Quicktime Pro Preferences
      Advanced
      Enable encoding using legacy codecs

Then it should show up in any application which can encode quicktime
