2 Questions

Okay so I recently purchased a Samson Gtrack microphone which came with the Sonar LE 6 software. I am currently using a HP dv7 laptop with Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit.

I am mainly using this mic for acoustic guitar/vocals.

Firstly, are there any updates on Sonar LE 6? (that are free of course) I tried to look around the Sonar website, but could not find any. Also are there any sonar updates just for vista?
(even though I don't know if I need it cause it opens fine)

Secondly, and most importantly, I am not getting any type of sound signal from the mic...according to Sonar.
I have tried audacity, and it has worked perfectly, but for some reason I get no signal with Sonar LE 6.
Also, the record button is not even pressable so I'm extremely confused.
Can anyone give me a step by step or something?

There are no updates for SONAR LE or anything special needed for Vista other than SONAR LE 6 (as opposed to SONAR LE 4).

Take a look through the information put together in this post at the top of this forum: Guide : SONAR + usb mic Samson C01u or C03u mic as it might contain useful information to help you along with your Samson Mic in SONAR.

Jed , I noticed what you wrote on the other thread, explain how your using it.. within windows boot camp or os-x native? if it's os-x native then I can't be too much help.

    http://samsontech.com/pro...dID=1810&brandID=2

    have you read that also?

if your booting into xp etc.. are you running the latest service pack also .. it should be using the generic drivers to control it though.

    Hi,
The G track works fine with Sonar, it has it's own drivers that load up when you first plug it in. If it works OK in Audacity, then all is well. With Sonar in "track view" and at least 1 track showing, Sonar will probably tune in to the default card, the one in your computer, so you need to select the G track  as the input device to be able to record with it. If you wish to listen through phones from the phone socket on the G track, then you will have to select the G track as output device as well.

Hi - I have 2 questions as well

( Sonar LE with Gtrack also..)

    1. I can record things just fine, but when i play them back sound only comes from the right side.

    2. I would like to burn my recordings onto a CD, and have no idea how.

If anyone could help with these problems that would be great. Ive been trying to get this software to work for a veryy long time

Im new to recording music so very detailed steps would be very helpfull.

    I have Windows 7

    Much thanks!
