Sonar Le

I am trying to mix four tracks that have been bundled in cwb files.  Instead of the four separate tracks I only get one to play back/mix when I import them to Sonar Le.  Any ideas out there?

    Hi Jim,

Assuming you are talking about AUDIO tracks,
you would need to OPEN (not Import the CWB) to have tracks separate, as originally saved.

I believe in order to IMPORT separate individual tracks from one project to another, in the original project, you'd first EXPORT each track separate, onto separate files. Then you could then, in another project, IMPORT them one at a time.

If you import as you say, then a Mix takes place onto one track.

This is my limitted understanding, but maybe there's a way I am not yet aware of.

Yes, I do this a lot, as Sonar doesn't have a built in noise reduction plug in, so I export each track to a separate file (WAV), do the noise reduction thing with Audacity then re-import them one by one into a newly created Sonar project. For this purpose, I select "stereo mastering 1" then when I import the track, it goes into it. Then I add a further audio track and repeat the operation for the next track, and so on. Obviously, the tracks musn't be trimmed in any way, otherwise they'll be out of sync.

Do you mean a single cwb file that contains four tracks OR

4 cwb files, each with one track?

if you select "open" the bundle it should load in as a project with every track in it's own track..... then you can work with it..... don't import it...... it all ends up in one track with the import.
