having trouble pasting

having trouble pasting

when i try to paste a chorus in between verses it will not line up on beat...it just lines up on the lines and wont let me move it where i want it...any suggestions?

    Try pressing Shift+N to open up your Snap to Grid Properties. Make sure you have "Move By" ticked. Also make sure the correct beat resolution is chosen. Press 'N' to turn Snap to Grid on and off.

    Sounds like you have Quanitze on. Click on the blue grid icon before you select your paste point and it should insert the notes exactly where you clicked. You can also click, then edit the actual Now time first, then paste and it will go exactly where you clicked.

    Without the grid icon lit, you should be able to move the new clip wherever you want it.
