INQUIRIES AND ASSISTANCE

I got a Sonar LE sequencer software when i bought an RD300GX, the problem is I don't know how to use it ( I'm a real beginner to this electronic music). I have several inquiries:
1. If I load a full band music to the software can I possibly edit and remove several instruments from that music (bass, guitar, etc..) and retain the instruments which I like?
2. Can I use the music of the retain instruments as back-up/background when I play my RD300GX?

Please..enlightened me on this. Thanks

ok which version of sonar LE first of all.. if it's v4.. you should register and they'll give you a link to download v6..

right. as for your keyboard, you can indeed trigger midi. it has USB?? it has various ports.. 1-16.. each you can assign a sound..e.g. trumpet.. piano.. errm 10 is normally for drums.

on the help bit there should be a mention of tutorials.. on the disk itself maybe a PDF manual on how to use it. It's enough to get you started really...

also depends on your pc's sound card.. if it's a bog standard / not made for music one then recording audio can be problematic.. but if your recording just midi then no issue.

you need to change the in's / outs..  and the bank / patch number.. for the sounds.. also arm a track to record.

There's no software in the world that can separate the instruments from a multi-instrumental stereo or mono track.

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.
