Zoom in on "Now Time"

When I zoom in on my keyboard (Ctrl+ Arrow) I zoom in on Now Time.
When I push Command+Jog on 700C don't really know where I end up.

Anyway to change this and let me end up in Now Time when I zoom?

Hi Trallala, Control + Arrow seems to behave a bit differently and better as it locks Now Time while you zoom in. Command + Jog on my screen stays very central right up to very close zooms. Now as you say it goes off screen and you may not be sure where.

So just after doing a Command + Jog and Now Time goes off screen, if you move Jog just one click (without Command) Now Time will always come back on screen. Dont forget you also look at bars and beats to see where Now Time might be.

I have also found switching over to Scroll Mode also allows you to quickly move through the arrangement as well. I switch out of that back into Normal Mode if you like. (Where Jog controlls Now Time) After a while you get quite nifty at moving around through the music and zooming in and out and so on.

Hi Jeff - thanks for your reply.

Yes, the jog wheel is a great tool, and it goes faster and faster the more I use the feature. I love it.

But when you hear a click, it might be handy to be able to zoom right in on the click, fix it and move on, and now time is a good place to be when you zoom.

I would think that this is not a big adjustment for cakwalk to fix in next update. Or what, Cakewalk?

    Jeff, these are great suggestions.

Trallala, to expand upon what Jeff is mentioning here, when in Scroll Mode you can also use the ALT modifier key in conjunction with the Play button to begin playing the project from the Scroll marker. Once hitting Stop, the Now Time will position itself where the Scroll marker is set.

(If it is not behaving as so, check Options | Global and on the General Tab check the setting for "On Stop, Rewind to Now Marker".)

Perhaps this will help you to achieve a quicker work-flow.

    Hi - and thanks

Have started using scroll mode more recently, and I see the value of it - it's really much more fun now using the console when you
don`t have to look into the shortcut guide every second minute.
