To upgrader from Guitar Rig3 to Gtr Rig4 Pro, should I get the 8.5 bundle or....

.......or just buy the upgrade from NI. The gtr rig upgrade only is about $169 and the Sonar 8.5/Gtr Rig4 is about $229. I am just got my new computer and finally got to install my Sonar 8. I am a guitarist and while LE is ok, 4pro has a ton of more feautures and amps etc...I am mostly using drum loops, keys and my new Scarbbe MM bass to record and write my original jazz/fusion instrumentals. Sonar 8 has soooooo much more than the old 2.0 version I was running from 7 years ago. Do I really need 8.5 yet??? Is there some feature that would make the full 8.5 upgrade really worth the extra cash?? Thanks in advance.

    8.5 is worth it; spend the extra $20 for the DVDs, too. Is the upgrade from NI for just GR4 or Komplete 6? Because if it's the latter, I'd go that route (in fact, I did) for the extra synth upgrades, most of which have 64-bit versions.

    Check out the new features in 8.5 and decide for yourself.

    It was worth it to me (I also got the GR4 Pro elite pack), but the new features in Sonar 8.5 might not be for you.

    Tough question to answer, not knowing what things are worth to you. If it were me I'd pay the extra for 8.5 with GR4 (which is just great).

    So did you buy Sonar 8.0 a long time ago and not install it because if you bought after July 1, the update to 8.5 is free? Then you could just buy the separate elite upgrade for GR Pro 4, which is good value.
