Has anyone ordered the 49.00 amplitube 2, how did it work?
Hey group, I ordered amplitube 2 download this weekend. I didn't get sent a link to download it. I looked in my user area today and it says shipped. Is that correct or should I have gotten a link to download? Thanks for your reply

Just curious. Where did you find Amplitube 2 at that price? It's not the DUO version is it? Jim

It's a baby version and not at all the same as the full Ampitube 2.

Thanks for your responses group. It sure looks like they shipped the product. I just looked again, everywhere in my account and registeration area. the only thing it says is it shipped on the 7th. I love it when I can download files, it is alot easier to explain to my wife. I am in the middle of moving and don't have time to contact customer service at the moment, I sent them an email about 12 hours after I ordered so far haven't heard back. There are no links under my account. Thanks for all your comments, I guess I will wait for the fedex guy. I did download the 12 day trial version.

Wow, sorry for the bad timing Rocker41. I bought it from Audiomidi tonight. Got it up and running... Nice for the price. I think the clean sounds are better than my Gearbox/Podfarm stuff. Jim

Well you win some and you loose some. Maybe someone else will see the fantastic deal you showed. I have three orders coming this week for gear, after almost 25 years she is starting to get used to me. That hair video for hair transplants is really funny, I stopped and listened to your music today CJ. You have some of the cleanest stuff I have heard on the net. Sounds really professional, you have a really good sound, your female singer is really good also. As always thanks for you input group.

Wow, pretty good deal. I was considering ordering at $50 but at $15, it truly is a "no brainer". Thanks for the heads up.

Jim Is this a download? I had a quick look on the website and it looked like a boxed version. Also anyone know how much better this is than the Amplitude Duo bundled with RealStrat?

Glyn, It is a download. There's some hoops to go through, but not too bad. Audiomidi will send you Emails with serial no. and you have to sign up at IK Multimedia's website and follow directions. Jim

Glyn Barnes Also anyone know how much better this is than the Amplitude Duo bundled with RealStrat? I have both by accident. Looks similar. Both have the same amps - Live has a bass amp too. Live has few more presets set up. Live has more stomps available. Crucially, Live is its own version, albeit small, whereas Duo is a reduced version of Amplitube 2 and therefore doesn't allow access to certain things. Live

Well, I had a play with it today...The download link at Audiomidi didn't work, but after registering at IK I could download it from there. So, first impression: not that impressed, the line 6 gearbox/ podfarm sounds as good or better to my ears. And yes I use clean sounds (almost exclusively) inth realm of Mike Stern/ Pat Metheny. Tried to approach my Mike Stern preset (Clean amp setting, lot of lows, even more mids, little highs and presence, chorus, delay, reverb) I made in gearbox. Amplitube (Live) sounds way more "nasal". That's a first impression and I will test more thoroughly later (tomorrow?).

strikinglyhandsome1 Could be bad timing but audiomidi have this as a no-brainer AmpliTube-2-Live- Hey man, Thanks for posting this. Even though I buy quite a bit of gear from audioMIDI and have bought about 2/3 of all of the no brainers they have offered, I still receive no notification of new no-brainer offerings.

I am totally with you hugojaquet, I think the gearbox sounds way better also with about a thousand more features with gold edition. Although I hate having to hook up the gearbox to use the product. 15.00 seems like a reasonable price.

Does anyone know how the amp models compare with Guitar Rig LE? I am no guitarist but to me AT sounds more real and warm than GR that seem to have a more clean but cold sound (I use AT2, Fender, Hendrix and Ampeg). GR LE on the other hand I think has a little more versatility than AT Live. So, if you're after sound and feel go for AT Live, if you're after the tweakability you can probably stay with GR LE. Amplitube 2 audio demos: http://www.ikmultimedia.com/amplitube2/audiodemo/ (this is for the full version of AT2 though so all models are not included in live but it's more a reference for sound quality)
Sadly very reduced studio equipment as it is... ASUS G750J, 8 gb RAM, Win8, Roland Quad Capture.

I went and got this, myself. I was fighting with myself wether to get it or not because there's no x64 version. I already have Amplitube DUO, too, but for $15 I may as well go for it. Who knows, I might be able to use it for something. Thanks for the news all, and strikingly... thx for the review type info for what's included. :) I wonder if you can say anything about the Amplitube X-Gear, as I got a free serial for it when I registered Amplitube 2 Live?

Amplitube X-Gear is great if you have a few or all of the Amplitube products as it allows you to just open X-Gear and you have access to all the programmes. Here X-Gear has 2 series/parallel guitar rigs in it as well.
