Sonar 8.5.2 stays upfront over other screens.

Hi all, I am not sure whether I am being an idiot, or whether this is a bug.
I have noticed the screen of Sonar 8.5.2 tends to stay "in front" of any other program running. I am unable to ALT-Tab to switch between the others. The only way I can switch is to minimize all and then flick to the other screen. This never happened in the older versions. Does anyone have a similar problem? Maybe its an "option" I have clicked or unclicked. 

Any thoughts?

    I've had the same problem.  When I try to export an audio clip to SoundForge through the tools menu, SoundForge opens up "behind" the Sonar screen when it used to open up "in front" of Sonar.  Don't know if it's a bug or not but I prefer it the way it used to be.  Anybody else experience this?

    Yeah.....I forget the fix though......do a search through the forums. I know it's been discussed as nauseum.

    It's a preference check box that gets in the way for some reason....dang..wish I could remember.

    Turn off Scan VST on startup.   OPTIONS - GLOBAL - VST PLUGINS about 1/2 way down the page.

    8.5.3 will fix it when its released, check out the 8.5.3 threads

    This will do it, but Noel Borthwick, CTO of Cakewalk, has said that the better way to address this until 8.5.3 fixes it is by disabling the Quick Start dialog.

    Hmm I wonder if that will help my mouse issue, brundle? I'll have to try that. I have this issue where in other versions of Sonar, opening a project I could just scroll my mouse wheel and scroll through tracks in edit mode. Ever since 8.5, I have to click in an area for scrolling to take place. S 8 and below never behaved this way and still doesn't today. I'm going to try this and see if it works. Thanks for the tip. :)
