Copy track, then change sound source?

Ok...so I have a piano track, I want to copy it then change the sound on the copied track to effectivly double track the piano, when I do this it changes the sound on the original track as well?

Any ideas, cant find much on track copying in the help menu?

If you are talking about a MIDI track, you can highlight it, copy and paste it to another (for the purpose) MIDI track.

Then you can change the output of that track.

As such the term "source" wouldn't apply, rather the output of the track, since it's alredy a recorded track, independent of its source.
