You have 2 front inputs (1/2) that can use either XLR or 1/4 inch balanced or unbalanced cables, these are best for your vocals or guitars.
2 rear inputs (3/4) use just the 1//4 inch balanced or unbalanced cables, good for guitars, keyboards or sub mix from another mixer.
2 rear inputs (5/6) that use RCA jacks, a bit harder to use but good for sub mix from another mixer or anything that has an adapter to change it to RCA.
1 digital stereo input (7/8), even harder to use or find a use for, I fortunately have a mixer that has digital output, there are some guitar effects, mixers, keyboard that have digital output so you can of course use those as well.
