Click sound in recording and playback.

I bought a new computer and I now have a clicking sound when I record also when I playback an older recording.

My pc is :
intel i7 2.8g/hz
6 gigs of ram corsair
gigabyte MB GA-X58A-UD7
Windows 7 64 bits.
Sonar 8.5
VS700

    Is it a regular click or an irregular click? Do you have the metronome turned on? Open the the large transport and watch the usage meters and see if your mem or CPU usage increases  in time with the click.

    Oh well thanks for the help. I found my problem. The usb chipset on my montherboard is unstable/broken. 

    I bought a pci usb card, and it sloved the problem..
