Virtuous playing. Nice arrangement gives an "airy" sound. Very nice!

Nice change to listen to this song. Really liked the flute, and excellent playing on the electric. Keys kept me with the beat all the way through. (for some reason, lately I've been listening to quite a bit of flute stuff by different artists. I think it started a couple of weeks ago when I dug out my old Aqualung album)

I can't say I've heard the original but this is certainly a great effort.

Nice performance of one of Chick's best songs.  Great guitar work...a little bit of a Metheny sound and feel to the solo.  The flute performance is great as well- was that performed with a yamaha wind controller?  nice phrasing and dynamics.  Nice Rhodes sound as well - which a bit of Chick's stacatto which sounds so cool on the rhodes.

It is cool that you guys are collaborating.  Nice effort.

Frank, I've long admired your guitar playing, but don't believe I've heard you on keys before. Very well done. The only thing I didn't care for was something that sounded like a flute, kind of, around 1:50. It was just the patch I didn't care for.
Spacey, I don't know if I remember your work, but this was just a sensational bit of guitar playing, very clean and articulate. Are you playing a hollow body?
Overall, I thought the mix could be a little brighter, but great performances.

I saw Chic Corea at Milwaukeefest one year.  Quite a show.  That having been said (oh, no here goes) I haven't heard this one that I remember.  You guys certainly knocked it out.  Michael displays his abilites as usual and Frank, who woulda thunk you were that good on keys?  Fooled me.  The bass was great and after an understanding of how you did it, I'm amazed.  I have so much to learn and well, not as much time as I used to!  LOL

Thanks Mark,
Actually, I played the Keys on everything I've produced... All the horn parts (not the sax solos), and most of the bass parts I did on Keyboards too...

Thanks again Scotty...
It's really easy to play, and then edit midi Bass parts...
So much of the Bass repeats itself, I was able to do a lot of copy and pasting throughout the piece...
I also used a lot of pitch bend and modulation to make it believable...
Finally,  I rendered it back through a killer Acoustic Bass patch in Dimension Pro...

Frank & Michael,

Impressive! I had the honor of seeing C.C. performing in a small club with Dave W. on drums and Frank G. on on guitar, John P. on bass.

That outta the way, I didn't realize Mike that you played the keys so well?? A nice twist outside of your usual guitar playing. Your jazz/fusion guitar was really nice to hear Frank, as I'm used to your 'bluesier' side of playing.

Very, very tasty and talented musicianship on this. This is the kind of music I love listening to, but, could never play it to save my life.

A great collab all around!

Thank you Warren, Matt and Scotty.

Larry it was cool being a great key player...if only for a little while!...thanks for the kudos.

Have to say..it's always been great to hear Frank's music but getting to hear him build a tune...well that's fantastic and one does indeed know they're part of something special when working with him. If you get a chance, don't pass it up. ( I get the feeling working with that James Yoyo cat would be like that too) These are the type that can make you sound good. Sonar has some talented users from what I've been hearing 'round here.

Frank, Mike

A noodle of the highest order.

There's was I expecting some smoke room blues, I dunno why the title should have told me it was going to be as latin as good ol' 'Skid Markos los Undeveros' himself...

Impressive playing from Spacey on the solo there, and you ain't no slouch on them keys either Mr. Frank.

Sheeeeessshhhhh!!!!.....great stuff guys!

The bass and drums alone would have taken me 2 years to do.
Out-smokin-standing Guitar playing Micheal.   Love it.
Keys are light and breezy and right on the money.

Bass was awesome too.....

Great job.

Excellent! Overall very polished, tight performances  :-)

Actually I like where the drums are because they fit perfectly and are well balanced in the mix for this genre, very nice brush work, oh and I also love the bass.

Superb collaboration :-)

FRANK!!!!  This is one of my all time favorite songs!  Al Jarreau did this for me by request ( I was front row center at one of his concerts.)

This is a killer tune, and not an easy one either.  I'm very impressed and aside from all that, I just really enjoyed listening to this.

The keyboards, and guitar were excellent.  I just love this, very impressive.
This is such a great tune, great choice, well played !!!
