Midi Recording

I've just successfully connected my keyboard to my computer to record onto the Kinetic tracks. My problem is that with all the tutorials in Kinetic, none of them are clear on how to get my synthesizer sound on a track! Does anyone know how to successfully get a recorded sound on a Kinetic track using a Midi keyboard hooked up?
