How do i reinstall "Sonitus Delay" plugin?

i think my sonitus delay plugin in corrupt. it seems to eat up memory everytime i use it and does not release memory when i "Unload" the project

removing all instances of this plugin seem to cure the problem.

So, i think, i need to reinstall the plugin

cheers

the only way I know to re-install just theSonitus effects (which are awesome btw, imo) is to make as if you were re-installing Sonar again from the beginning but choose custom installation and uncheck EVERYTHING except the sonitus FX you wish to keep.  I did this in order to get one of the soft synth plug ins from version 7 that was missing from version 8 (Dimension LE).

i did reinstall the complete Sonar app in a panic to try and resolve the issue (which did not resolve it) but i have not yet done the method mentioned above.
Would a complete sonar reinstall do all the plugins anyhow or would it "see" them from an older installation and not overwrite them?

How about copying the "SonitusFxDelay.dll" from my old sonar 5 PC and replacing the suspected corrupt "dll" on the new PC? is that safe?

    thanks for the info

if the file is indeed corrupted, the new install should fix it.  however, copying the fx dll from an older version should have no adverse effects.  you may have to rescan all your plug ins for Sonar to recognize it.

This may be unnecessary, but it's a good idea to unregister the old one, replace it and register the new one. To unregister the plugin, paste the following into the Run dialog:

    REGSVR32 /U "C:\PROGRAM FILES\CAKEWALK\SHARED PLUGINS\SonitusFXDelay.dll"

Next, replace the DLL and then run the same command above, but without the "/U":

    REGSVR32 "C:\PROGRAM FILES\CAKEWALK\SHARED PLUGINS\SonitusFXDelay.dll"

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.
