Need help with exporting files

Hello All,

When I export audio files from guitar tracks they sound like there is a distorted echo on everything, but everything sounds good when I play the mix in guitar tracks.

If I export to a 24 bit wav file then it sounds good, but exporting to anything else, 16 bit wav or mp3 sounds bad...

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,

John.

If I export to 24 bit wav files from Guitar Tracks then load them in another program and then export them to 16 bit wav files all good, but Guitar Tracks doesn't seem to be able to convert 24 bit to 16 bit without it sounding bad...

I'm using an M-Audio Fast Track Pro on Windows 7 (64 bit) if that helps.

Ok, doesn't seem to be any problem with my hardware or drivers, considering i can record at 24 bit and save to 16 bit in other programs no problem, just an issue in guitar tracks... any ideas?

I'm using Guitar Tracks Pro version 4.0.5.6.

CPU is an AMD Phenom II X4 925 2.8GHz, 4GB RAM.
Audio device is M-Audio Fast Track Pro USB

OS is Windows 7 (64 bit).

I downloaded the trial version of Sonar and don't have this problem exporting from Sonar.

I got the M-Audio ASIO drivers working in guitar tracks, but that didn't make a difference, I was using the WDM driver.

    Fixed!

I got a reply from Cakewalk. I had to delete the aud.ini file then reset the drivers then it worked :).
