Audio Problems

I have been using Guitar Rig Session (interface)with SHS for about 6 months now with few problems.  But, I have had some stuttering and dropout during recording and playback so I found a tread on this forum that recommended a change to MME driver mode.

I did that and got an error message "an error occured setting a parameter".  I tried changing it back, but always the same message.  Restarting SHS gave me the message "you have not selected any MIDI outputs".  Once in SHS nothing works (play button won't play).

2 questions:

How can I get things back to where they were?
Is there a way to reduce the stuttering and dropout?

Thank You

which version of SHS are you using?
    which operating system?
    what soundcard are you using?
    what are your computer specs?
