Can I transfer Sonar Home Studios 6 from old desktop to new laptop?

I installed Sonar 6 Home Studios to my old Dell desktop about 4 or so years ago and now I want to install it on my new Toshiba Laptop. Can I do that? Will I need another code or number. Will it work in Windows 7? Thanks

No extra actions needed. Just install normally and you're good to go.

If you have had a proper internal soundcard in your desk top, you might face unexpected problems if you try to operate with the laptops internal sound chip, though. An external audio interface is more than recommended.

Yes, it will be a normal installation, but you will be prompted to register SHS6.
Do not proceed with the normal registration process. You will get an error stating it is already registered.
Just enter your existing registration code in the appropriate box.
Also, you do not need to remove SHS6 from the desktop. Th EULA terms allow you to have it on both machines, provided you don't run it on both at the same time..

Make sure when you copy your files over that you get the audio and the MIDI tracks. Just copying the CWPs won't do it. Save them as CWBs and then copy them over and then check to make sure they work before deleting the originals.
