THANKS! to the "Regulars"!

Hey All!

Just want to thank all of the "regulars" out there for the wealth of information that you provide in this forum.  I have have been a SONAR user since Ver5 and admittedly I have been "laying in the weeds" for a long time just reaping the benefits from all of the information and banter in this forum.  Although I have a lot of really good reference materials I have to admit that I have learned a tremendous amount of stuff from all of you.  Thanks for all of the time and effort that you put into helping the community learn and benefit from your knowledge and experience.  I know that it takes a lot of time for you to stay so active on this forum but I want you to know that I genuinely appreciate your advice and opinions.  You guys rock! Special thanks to Jonesey, CJ, Danny, Garrigus, FBB, Anderton, Roseberry, bapu, beagle, mccue, guitarhacker, and many others who contribute regularly.

Aww man what an awesome message. If I'm the "Danny" you meant, you're very welcome. I share the exact same feelings as you do which is why I do my best to try and give a little back. The people you have mentioned as well as several others have always come to my aid when I needed them. Go on another forum for a while and you realize in 3 hours why we have it so good here.

We may all get a bit heated at times, but there is rarely an intelligent question that doesn't get an answer or at least some remedy to try. I too thank all the people that continue to offer help at great lengths...you've been my tech support for this program for many years. :)

cuitlahac, not to change the subject drastically...but man, you look exactly like one of my good friends whos name is Mike. I looked at your pic and and did a triple take...man you guys can pass as brothers! (at least in this pic lol) Check this out.

    Your welcome...

Heh, kidding ... Definitely a lurker more that a regular, but  I am also very appreciative of all those willing to share their knowledge. Thanks guys!

I'd also add that I had to contact support this week, and they were very responsive and helpful in addressing my questions. The combination of support, the forums, and the manual () is a major reason why I've stayed with Cakewalk since PA7.

It's sad to note that many of the regulars have dropped off the SONAR radar in recent times. Shame to see the old community shrinking. Still a lot of genuinely helpful folks here though.

Kudos to ALL the folks here too because....

Without the people who are here being friendly and considerate (yeah we have some heated discussions)  this cakewalk forum site would quickly devolve into a place where most of us would not choose to hang out. And newcomers to this great hobby would not feel welcome.

I know for me, besides assisting people seeking help and asking questions and learning things myself, a big part of the attractiveness of this forum site is the people here who have become friends over the months and years we have been here sharing our lives and our music with one another.

It's kinda like a big family that I enjoy checking in to see how everyone is doing.

Celebrating the new guitar or amp, the new baby, or in some cases another grand child that was born, sharing in vacation pictures, and other adventures, to the heartbreak of divorce or to the untimely death of our close friend and fellow cakewalker Jimmy Gentry..... we're a family here.

This forum was the reason I chose Sonar over the other DAW's. I was a newbie and I knew I was going to need help. Over the last few years they have not let me down. Not once. Stupid questions and all! My digitally inspired rants were quickly calmed by wiser and more knowledgeable heads. Never before was all that on display more than yesterday when the forum tried to bring an angry user in off the window ledge. Even with abuse being leveled at them, they continued to try to help. In the end, the guy was a jerk,at least on that day. Everyone knew it at the outset but they still offered help. Their restraint was commendable. So I'm commending it.

I am happy to admit.. coming from one of the photagraphy blogs, that this is a different mindset.  There is very little of the technical "demigoddery" (is that a word?.. Oh welll) that you see on some of those blogs.

I have been using cakewalk since it came free with soundblaser soundcards.  The information here is relevant, useful and most important for me production efficientcy oriented.  All question levels are fielded with respect and with the honest intent to help.  Even when things get hot, they seem to be able to move back to a norm that tolerable, fun and helpful.

Being a new member, the enviroment makes it easy to feel welcome and to feel comfortanble getting information.  This means a great deal and learning from you guys is an invigorating, engaging and mostly entertaining experience.. for me that is HUGE!!! Thanks to all that continue to make this possible....
