Possible to create a light Sonar X1 color scheme?
Is it possible to create a light color scheme for Sonar X1, that's easy on your eyes? I'm still struggling with: - Dark tracks in track pane - Dark browser - Dark inspector I think those are "unpossible" since X1...

I might be missing something, but sonarmods.com says this about the skins: "Currently I have not found a way to change font sizes and colors that are not present in Preferences/Colors. " All the mods seem nice, but dark. :)

You could contact Panup and see if he can help you, he's tha man. :D I too would like to see a 'lighter' mod even though it probably would have less contrast.

I find the tracks and automation envelopes much more acceptable once you tweak the colors: http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.aspx?m=2166034&high= That doesn't need any of Panup's mods. For the inspector, try the Reindeer mod. I'm a fan of Dark Side, myself.

I no longer do double-takes to check the settings as the colours really pop now. Instead I do double-takes on all my playing but there's no plugins for that just yet.

zArt Hey Panup, how is this going? :) Lighthouse needs some redrawing before it's becomes useful; inverting colors was a good beginning but it looks rude. Next week I have time to continue this project.

Zo Panup , are stuked with chromatic type colors or you can even put textures .....carbon , aluminium...ect ? Textures are possible...not in every place but Console View and ProChannel are now easy to tweak now. I make updates to darkside and other mods first before making completely new ones.

panup I made a super quick lighthouse mod test to see what X1 looks like if bg colors are lighter. It's different... Hi, Nice color scheme. But how do you actually get the track and console strip colors to change in Sonar X1 Producer ? I have the X1d expanded version (build 535). I tried many times by changing the particular color, clicking Apply and then also restarting Sonar X1 but nothing happens. In fact, when I open the color pallete under preferences, the color does show up as the modified one that I changed but hasnt got applied to the strips. The elements I choose are "Console View Strip Background" and "Track View Strip Background". Are these the right ones ? Is there anything I may be missing in the process ? Any feedback will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Thanks in advance. right now the colorcustomization in sonar needs an overhaul, though thereare alot of things you can still change but its all hit or miss. i suggest you start with the tab "all colors" then work your way through and start experimenting,i did and i got alot to change, the track view backround.,meters,buttons. the one thing i cant get to change is the grey in the console view, its permenent.

I prefer an overall lighter scheme too, especially in the track view. I liked what I had in 8.5.3. If you still have 8.5.3 installed then Export the color scheme and Import it onto X1. That is if X1 doesn't already have a preset called "Sonar 8".

Unless things have changed in X1 go to Options>Colors and check the presets, should be one called "Sonar 8". If not let me know and I can send you schemes for Sonar 8, 8.5.3 and a custom one I made which is halfway between Sonar 4 and 8.5.3 You can also find some nice schemes here: https://sites.google.com/site/sonartemplates/ There's a category called Light Templates. Cheers.

I hope it becomes part of X2. i find it really strange that the color of a daw is what would re-frain you from upgrading to the newest sonar product. its been out for a while now, most bugs are gone. sorry,i just had to laugh at that a little bit... colors? thats why you havent upgraded?
