Act learn changes are not being saved *SOLVED*

My act learn changes are not being saved. I have set up an act midi controller preset for my softstep but when I set up changes with my plug ins, they only seem to remain until I shut down Sonar X1. When I reopen it defaults to the original setups. Any ideas? I was wondering if having Jbridge would affect things in any way?

Interesting.  Another user saw similar behavior in X2 and we were able to fix it here:   http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.aspx?high=&m=2669206

Yes... It is of interest!  Thank you for the info.  That'll definitely help us come up with a long term fix for the issue.

It clearly has to do with the new mappings writing to the ACT XML file.  Haven't done any technical research on the issue yet.  I'm thinking maybe VS devices were connected when the new files were authored.  Then maybe you guys ended up with them referenced in 2 files (yours, and the one we ship) As a result, SONAR may not know which to write to.  Just a guess and probably too esoteric for forum-talk.  But we'll definitely sort it out.  This was a great hint.  Til then, this work-around seems to be sufficient.
