How do I renew my membership of Sonar Platinum?

It expires 2016-01-30 and feels a little odd to buy an upgrade when I already own Sonar Platinum.
Can't seem to find anywhere on Cakewalks site an option to renew the membership or what it would cost yearly?

Did find an pay monthly option but to a ridiculous price, if I sum it up yearly, compared to an upgrade through for example audiodeluxe.com.

It's cheaper to upgrade from X3 to Platinum ($149) than it is to renew from Platinum to Platinum ($199).  Does this seem whack to anyone else?

But the link "Buy platinum" goes to cakewalk store with no renewal options only full price or upgrade. Tried to add a link but failed, sorry.

And yes, that upgrading is cheaper than a renewal is indeed very strange!

I very much doubt that those are the final prices. Clearly they make no sense. Cakewalk are hardly likely to charge you an extra $50 to renew after you paid them $150 to upgrade last year, whilst rewarding those that didn't with a discount!

You are probably right, just have to wait I guess for an update from Cakewalk on this.

Having the same problem. The way I see it, there's no real reason to renew until the next update releases. It looks like $199 annually or $19.99/month is the subsequent pricing model.

It kind of sucks that they would charge you more to continue on with their subscription-based service, but that's not really a new pricing model (i.e. internet/TV services).

Maybe they will add some sort of incentive to have a seamless renewal? That's the only way to incentivize not lapsing your membership IMHO.

After I received my Cleverbridge payment notification for my 12th consecutive payment, I simply cancelled my monthly membership and purchased the 12 months up front membership for Sonar Platinum for AU$175 (US$125.16).  Eventually , 1 year was added to the expiry data as shown in Sonar Platinum's Help|About.  It now shows as expiring in 5th Jan 2017. All this was done on the cakewalk store.

Of course I could have purchased monthly membership for $AU17.99 (US$12.86) per month for Sonar Platinum if I wished.

In my case, the trick was to NOT do nothing.  If I had done nothing, my monthly membership, according to the Cleverbridge payment notification for my 12th consecutive payment, would have risen to AU$26.17 (US$18.71)

    Hope that helps.

I think the Australian pricing model is different, because the US renewal rate is US$199 annually or US$19.99 monthly. I'm currently on the annual plan, not monthly, so I'm not seeing any benefit of immediately renewing.

Usually Australian prices are higher than in the US, very rarely is it the other way round.

After logging on to your Cakewalk Account, at http://www.cakewalk.com  go to the cakewalk store , go to the sonar tab or the specials tab (far right).  Initially the prices show the full price as if you're purchasing Sonar for the first time.  However, If you click on the orange "Buy Now" , the final price in there should show the discounted price.  If you are not logged in , it will ask for your Cakewalk credentials

Your price should show (US$149) for 12 months of Sonar Platinum.
