Missing Audio Codecs for videos

This must be my first time making a video on Windows Pro 10 N. I've got 3 missing codecs.

Here's my question. Do these missing codecs just block playback?

I heard Noel talking about FLAC being supported on Windows, but it may only be Windows inside the USA?

Anyone know how I can fix this?

Anyone know if I generate files using unrecognized formats and then move them to another computer or upload to YouTube, would they play back?

In this image you can see 'Unrecognized Format' in front of 3 of the line items.

I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

No one else shares this Windows ten issue?

I think I may reinstall Windows to fix it.

Have never seen an "N" version. Maybe this will help https://www.microsoft.com.../details.aspx?id=48231

I have already found it and installed it. It didn't fix it.

You could try the K lite codec pack.  Adds just about any codec.

The K-Lite codec pack did not help me and I didn't trust it very much.

I'm reinstalling Windows 10 with a US Version of Windows.

I am not familiar with Win10 at all (actually do not trust it), but the K-lite codec pack does come in various flavors and is upgraded pretty regularly. FWIW, I installed their "mega pack" several months ago (I am on Win7) and it did a pretty thorough scan of codecs and found ~20 "known bad" ones. This did resolve other issues I was having at the time, but I am not sure how "Win10 savvy" they are. Some "free" software was installing old/generic codecs that K-Lite rectified.

Did you grab their "mega pack"? If so, and that did not work, I would be more worried that this is a Win10 issue (not sure though).

Other option... is this a "new" issue? If so, it may be worth looking at recently installed programs as they may have installed incompatible codecs on you.

ASUS ROG Maximus X Hero (Wi-Fi AC), i7-8700k, 16GB RAM, GTX-1070Ti, Win 10 Pro, Saffire PRO 24 DSP, A-300 PRO, plus numerous gadgets and gizmos that make or manipulate sound in some way.

It's always tough to trust others whether it be a pack of Codecs or Linux or Microsoft.

I never know what to do.

As an aside, When installing the Glabanum Expansion Packs using the Command Center, after the install was complete, it never got the orange bar at the bottom saying so. I had to kill the Control Center for each Glabanum expansion pack I had to install.

Well, I've re-installed Windows 10 and I have the same problem I had before.

I have the same 3 missing Codecs. Is everyone missing these codecs?

    Scook, you're too funny!

Ok... I have still not managed to get the codecs to show up. I tried installing Windows Movie Maker.

    Anyone got any ideas?

I'm almost fully recovered from my rebuild.

Are you sure "unrecognized format" means the codecs are missing?

I am not sure of anything. :-)

I just know that I can't export high quality video using Sonar Producer x64 and Windows 10 Enterprise.
I have installed the k-lite mega pack, Windows Movie Maker, VLC, and Media Monkey.

I have not been able to discover the problem. I think tomorrow I'll call Cakewalk Support ?

Maybe this is one of those cases where I have to install Sonar x86 in order to export the video files?

I tried the x86 Sonar build and faced the same issue.

I've had very good luck with the Shark codecs. IIRC these were recommended to me by ADK.

    Thanks Shark.

Can anyone on Windows ten confirm this issue? Am I alone?

I noticed this problem while trying to export the video for this YouTube video.
