Hey Everyone, As you probably know Cakewalk has a YouTube channel now. What you may not be aware of is that we have been adding Cakewalk customer's videos to our favorites list as we have stumbled upon them on YouTube. This can provide an additional avenue of promotion for you. So, if you have videos online on YouTube, please post links below. Please keep the videos posted focused on your music, we will not be adding videos of cute puppies, political rants, or sketch comedy, etc. We're looking forward to seeing what you've got. Thanks!

My band from the 70s had a reunion last Nov. We hadn't played together since then and it was a blast. The video is a little grainy.. well.. a lot grainy but the audio was recorded using HS4 on my Toshiba laptop. The audio interface was a motu 828 using firewire to get into the computer. The plan was to multi track the session, but because of some stupidity(my own), we were only able to record a 2 track mix from the mixer. All of the instruments are line level sources, no amps were used at all. Guitars were all outs of pedals, bass just a DI, drums were electronic and keys were also line level. Anyway, the tune is Mississippi Queen http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-yhEo_pMHQU

This first video is titled "HIT ME", its about trying to hit that perfect tone (must be an Eddie thing, LOL) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z5tNjuMdV-E The secord video is me putting the lead guitar into my song "Nothing Day". The background story is that I show-off gear (review kind of), and I had a Joe Satriani Crome Boy in my hands and didn't play it on the video, Rick (a forum member)complained, sooooo I was able to get its owners other Ibenez, the Black Joe Satriani LOL OK watch the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hz24pjDd9NI Of coarse this is not the finished version of the song but you can go here, and download a not to shabby mp3 or even just play a wma http://www.acidplanet.com/artist.asp?PID=836620&t=2172

This is my first use of Sonar 6 XL and I am very happy with the program so far. (I used to use Cubase SE, with which all of my other videos were recorded, but I had issues with the software constantly crashing). I am a midi oriented quasi-classical guitar player who is transitioning to a tap instrument. This piece was recorded to show fellow tap players how I can use my Megatar like a guitar by using a capo. I am using a some Roland 13-pin guitar gear: VG-88, V-Bass and (2) VG-8's. I also used the Sonic Maximizer plug-in that came as a promotional gift when I purchased Sonar. It did add some life to the mix. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EEjF051cDQA Here is another one I did that uses Proteus X2 VST as well as the Roland VG's. It starts off with the piezo sound from the custom Megatar and adds midi on the repeats. I recorded the midi tracks, cleaned them up a bit to delete the false triggerrs, duplicated the cleaned tracks and assigned different voices. Oh how I love midi. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bKfr5snBkEg

youtube.com/debijordan A mix of sweet ballads, rockin' tunes like Zep and Floyd, some flashback band vids from the early 90's, and some more recent band footage as well as even some Mexican music. My favorite of my Cakewalk created tracks is "Long Dark Night - Extended Version".

Kurd and HS2, Your "wow's" are greatly appreciated! That band was together about 2 years and we struggled. We played bars and stuff around North Alabama back then but had a really tough thing happen.. all of our equipment burned in a club fire. As a result, the band broke up.. that was summer of 1976! We have since gotten back together 4 times.. all about 4-6 months apart. We plan on doing another one some time in 09 and I hope to get some more video and good audio! thanks again BD

My roommates and I have written a few songs together, unfortunately we don't have a drummer right now but we've posted a few videos of us playing guitar and piano. Check it out: http://www.youtube.com/user/PenthouseMusic
