file wont stop playing

I have been using hs 6 for a long time wjen i do live gigs, i took my library and dumped it into a version of 8.5 studio and started using that laptop for live gigs, problem is that the midi files wont end when the song reaches the end , the time keeps going even thoiugh there is no music, I have checked the global settings and cant figure out what is going on, does not happen in h6 6 install, I am using windows xp on both machines, any ideas?

    Go to Options>Global>General tab and make sure Stop at Project End is enabled.
