final mix stage- new material demo #1

https://soundcloud.com/bats-brew/sotsad

any suggestions?
i'm concerned with the lead vox being too hot in the ??? range (harsh)
and the low end not being quite dialed in yet
mix session on this during the weekend,
wont leave this up but a couple of days.

Love the intro bats, really and I love how this has that underlying electronic riff throughout the song, a big changeup from the acoustic based song.

    Thumbs up

    +the key change, nice

Not sure I hear anything wrong bats.

Maybe the vox is just a little to dry unless that is what you were going for.

    BB,
I always look forward to your stuff, it's very professional sounding.  I'm listening on computer speakers so I can't offer any thoughts on the mix; except that ike Bapu maybe consider a bit of reverb on the voice, but that's just a niggle.  Well done as always.

    thanks bapu...
the vocals have delay on them, but it's very light... easy to hear in the cans, tho.
i'm on the fence for how wet i want them to sound in the cans.....

    computer speakers?
you mean, like a desktop set?
it's good to know, to understand how a mix translates that way....
i'm going to add both very and delay to the voices....
    and play with the ratio.

    Hi BB
Yes, just a little desk top set of speakers.  The mix sounded fine on them, very balanced and easy to listen to.  Nothing jumped out as being out of perspective.

    Good luck with your music!!

Bat, this is another of your unique songs that I like very much.  You said that the low end wasn't dialed in yet, and I tend to agree.  Both the throbbing bass line and synth could use a bump in the 200 - 400 hz range, to my ears, then I think it'll shine. I have no doubt that you'll get this spot on.  Congrats.

    All the best,
    Lynn
