Change your motherboard, ram, hard-disks and memory. Re-install the OS afresh and install all the latest drivers. After that you should be good to go. It can't be an X2 problem because that's new. HTH

Reece. Dump the SoundBlaster. BTW, I've only had one crash in X2 and I know what I was doing at the time but have not been able to reproduce it yet. I've run X2 about 50-70 times since then.

What does it mean when Reece can't get X2 to run properly?

in fairness, I had forgotten there was already a quickfix update available and had not applied it. there is a reference to PC modules in the QF, but not specifically for my problem, however, I need to do the update and verify if the problem continues.

Beagle it seems to work after the patch! That's good to hear! I'm loving X2 so far. There's just something about it that feels right this time around compared to X2. I could actually feel when X1 was going to take a nose dive. I could feel it in the responsiveness when clicking on things. I haven't experienced that once yet with X2. Not a single Pro Channel on/off problem, nothing ... I didn't even see the blank module thing at first that the Quick Fix repaired. It seemed to manifest over time, just like a lot of X1 problems did.
