free update from x1 to x2?

Hi!I am new to sonar. I want to buy the x1essential versión.  Could I update to x2 for free? Has the offer expired? And Can I install the v64 vocal strip in the essential version? Thanks in advance and excuse my english please.

    Just buy X2 Essentials. I don't believe there is any offer that will let you upgrade for free.

    I'm sure there are still boxed versions out there as leftover stock from retailers being sold. The upgrade offer expired looong ago though.
