free web site hosting?

So Go Daddy has changed their policy. No more free web hosting.
 
It's now $48 a year on 5 or 10 year deals....  
 
Do you have any GOOD recommendations for free web hosting that are worth the time? Or.... would it simply be better to pay the fees required by GD?

    I didn't realize GD offered anything for free.
     
    However the "free" one most people use for simple sites/blogs is Wordpress. Not really your own site but it might as well be.
     
    Edit: But if this is for your business might as well fork over to GoDaddy or one of the other hosts. Doesn't look all that good having your business site hosted on Wordpress IMO.

    yeah... for the cost, and no ads, the cost is reasonable
