gigastudio 3 help

Hey guys my P4 giga slave crashed this weekend. And I would like to replace it with a P45 mobo and a intel E8400. Has anyone used GS3 on dual core Cpu's?

No, but I've used it on a Q6600 (quad) core. it only uses one core, but it works fine (as fine as GS3 works anyway). it works better on this system than it did on my P4 2.8GHz, tho even tho it's only using one core at 2.4GHz. go figure that!

I do not use a separate system for GS3, tho, I use it on the same system as sonar.

thanks for the info. So did you have to disable anything to run giga3 using only 1 core?

I have to many giga libraries and some don't convert well to kontakt. Just wanna make sure I don't buy a P45 mobo and E8400 and it wont run my giga 3 libraries.

    Don't get me started!!!

dexterflex - I did not have to disable anything - it wasn't designed to work with more than one core, so that's all it sees anyway.

what OS do you run it on? its specifications are only for XP SP 1 and 2 - even tho I've got SP3 and it works fine on SP3. my previous P4 machine had SP2 and that's what I ran it on it.
