give all keystrokes to plug-ins

hi everybody
has anyone tried the "give all keystrokes to plug-in" feature in Sonar Producer 6.2.1? tried it with a few plugs , but it doesn't work.
of course , made sure it's turned on for the plug-in (vst instruments such as Supercharge Tonic , or Pro-sounds PS-1); anything else I should try?
this feature is suppose to work when in the plug-in's gui window.
thanks alot for any help
Roy.

I suppose you are talking about the little keyboard icon at the right top of the plugin's window? I tried that yesterday with a plugin and it worked fine. At first I didn't know about it and as soon as I typed an R, Sonar started recording! But with that button pressed (and the arrow showing up above the little keyboard) I could use all keys (in my case for naming a preset).

have you tried sending keyboard commands to VSTs such as FM7 , Tonic , etc using this feature?
    did it work properly?
    cheers
    Roy.

The plugin has to be the currently active window, perhaps you've clicked on something else
    and it's lost focus?
