guitar strumming in midi
Because i write most of my music in midi form (partially so i can have the sheet music later) i want to know if it is possible to get an "up-strum" sound out of music creator, or if i am hoping for too much

probably..... but if you have Kontakt, you can get Strum-makerIII and it will do that and do it well.

I don't know any other way to get an up-strum than simply inserting the notes starting from the highest, just like the down-stroke starts from the lowest note. If you do a lot of that I sure recommend demoing some guitar VSTis. Akkord Guitar included in Kontakt is great for strums.
SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre - Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc. The benefit of being a middle aged amateur is the low number of years of frustration ahead of you.

TomHannah How about AAS Strum? It's cheap. Is it any good? AAS strum sounded ok in the samples.... the thing that they don't exactly tell you is that learning to play the keyboard in such a way as to emulate how a real guitarist would approach a given piece of music...... well, that is an art in itself, and will take the average player many hours to get close enough to fool a casual listener. I actually have a few strummer VST's in my folders, and every person on these forums nailed it as fake ... I thought they sounded halfway decent. But there is an obviousness about them that is hard to miss. I'm not saying don't use them, because they fill the need for a keyboardist who doesn't play guitar.

Beagle these are the worst spammers in the history of computing. I wonder what, if anything, moves inside their head...I just don't get it. They don't even offer idiotic links, they just want to see their copypaste litterature published :o/.

I would bet that the broken picture is supposed to be a link to the stuff they're selling, but they didn't program the bot correctly for this forum software.

I thought bots can't get past the check-in where you must copy the letters/digits you see in sign-in box. Oh, me blue-eyed me :0P
