has anyone used Sonar 3 PE with either BFD2 or Superior Drummer 2.0 ?

I am trying to confirm if either of these virtual drum packages will work with my system:

Windows XP sp3
Sonar 3 Producer Edition

I was intending on purchasing the new BFD3 but it unfortunatley doesn't run on Windows XP. I might buy a BFD2 copy if I can find someone who has had success running it on this older Sonar version.

Also, Toontracks Superior Drummer says it works with XP but needs Sonar 8 or above; trying to confirm if that means there is no way I can get this to work on my Sonar 3.

Any help would be appreciated, was very difficult to get any of these questions answered from the software manufacturers.

It's going to be a tough question to get answered definitively, Scott. Not many S3 users frequent this site, or even folks who might happen to still have it installed. There are plenty of previous S3 users here, and probably even a few who've used BFD with S3, but neither BFD2 nor SD2 existed when S3 came out in 2003. Still, I'd think that if any product would work it would be BFD, since it's the same company that wrote the VST adapter used in S3.
