An audio interface would be nice.
    http://homerecording.beaglesound.com/9.html
Or there is a way to use a microphone plugged into your PC soundcard using an 1/8" adapter.
Or you could buy a USB microphone.

As you can tell by the 's, this is really not the best way to go.

One microphone, one audio recorder, one soundcard that will function with your audio recorder software...

Beyond that, I could spend thousands of $$ of your money if you really want to "do it right"...

Let me see... you bought a $600 recording program and you don't know you need a microphone to record vocals? Hmm...

    Hi Julien-

I'd recommend going through the Tutorials, esp. Tutorial 3--Recording Digital Audio. This should answer some of your basic questions.

The easiest way is to buy a sound card with mic pre's and get a condensor mic with a chord. stay away from USB mics, like Mike said above or This is not only the easiest way, its the best way

I saw the original in original release at a local theatre. The community saw it fit to send two police officers to keep us all in line - really hilarious when you consider the material and the time. If you haven't seen the new print - it is defiantly worth it - really nice looking.

Do you mean a "new print" of the movie release? If so, I must put that on Santa's "list" (assuming it's available on DVD)...I'm sort of a "purist" by nature, I don't usually like "colorized" versions of B/W movies (a category that "Help" doesn't fall into), CD "digitally-remastered" mixes of classic LP's (but I'll admit that I have some and have enjoyed listening to them), etc.,...But I'm not "anti-improvement" when the alterations are positive ones...

    P:

Last year a re-release of print and sound was done in a few $$ pricepoints. The film in fact looks and sounds incredible.

"Help!" was released on DVD in November 2007. I thought it was well publicized, but perhaps you missed it. Its been digitally restored and has a 5.1 soundtrack. I don't have it, but its on my wish list too.

I still have my ticket stub for their last concert in Candlestick Park in San Francisco, August, 1966. The ticket price was $ 4.00, however, our band won the tickets in a "Battle of the Bands". The Beatles made a huge impression on me, my music, and the world!
