help!!!!!!!!

hi all,,just loaded x1 producer on new 64 bit daw, all up and running,new quad capture working great,...but no such luck trying to install any of my virtual instruments.... installed  real strat,when i select it from synth browser it says not properly installed. i know it is because i can play it and hear it from desk top icon.i have looked in cakewalk vst folder and it appears as an application extension [whatever that is] ..the free plugin. amplitude. is the same ,its there, but not in the list audio effects,,,,no point trying to install anything else untill i know whats going on ..any one help cheers

Also make sure you are scanning the right folders.

Edit --> Preferences --> VST Settings --> Scan VST Plugs


or in the plugin manager




Having sonar pointed the the correct folders like John mentioned is a deal maker/breaker
