There's a backup/restore option in Winreg. Better use a different program next time like Microsoft Antispy, Spyware Blaster, Lavasoft Adaware, Spybot search & Destroy.

    Hi pettruciator-

When you say your "recent files" are gone, do you mean just the list in the File|Open dialog? That's not a biggie, it's just a list of file names that's stored in the Registry.

Have you tried double-clicking on a .cwp file in Windows Explorer? They're stored in your Cakewalk Projects folder by default.

That's bizarre. Have you looked in the Recycle bin? Also try a Windows Search on *.cwp.

BTW, I'd avoid saving any files to the disk until you get this sorted out one way or another. If they've been deleted you still might get them back with one of the recovery programs out there, but the chances go down the more the disk is written to.

    Good luck!
