help: markers seem to appear on their own...

I've noticed on a couple of my projects, I see several markers that show up on their own . on one or two projects, i see dozens of markers cluttering up my timeline that I didn't place there. Is there a setting that automatically inserts markers ?? It is really frustrating because they clutter and confuse, not to mention the time I spend cleaning them up. maybe i'm doing something to cause this ?? help !!!

When you copy & paste ALWAYS check what you're selecting.

Markers are included by default if there's any within the time of your selected range

Bristol_jonesy beat me to it, but I want to add that I think this is a dumb default. Why would the default be to copy markers since a marker is usually unique. Why do I want multiple Verse 1 markers?

One other thing to watch, if you're a fat fingered f%$@*er like me, pressing M, by mistake, will place a marker at the Now Time, even during play back.

Is there a way to remove a marker?  I've not found it -- so on the occasion I forget to uncheck the default, I have been moving all the extra markers to the end of the song to get them out of the way...

One way is to hover over it (don't click though) and hit delete

Morgan T, In sonar you can click View and then Markers. In that view you can add or remove markers, rename them, or edit their times. And as for the fat fingered folk (I'm sure "folk" is the word you meant), thanks for this. The M thing may be annoying, but now that I know it, i will use it.

Just hit shift + alt + 4 to open up the Markers view. From there you can selected any  marker and edit /delete whatever.
