help with reversing sound

Back in the 60s and 70s they used to do a trick of playing certain parts of a song or voice backwards while the song played normal. Can you reverse a song or a portion of a riff in reverse in Guitar Track pro 3?

You can in GTP2, and I doubt they took it out of GTP3. Here's how you do it.

    1. Record the part you want reversed.
    2. In the edit view, right click on the clip to reverse.
    3. On the pop-up menu is a Reverse option, choose that.

I've just used this feature to reverse a crash symbol and a guitar part as the intro to a song I'm working on. The reversed cymbol sound is very cool.

You can still do it in GTP3. Select the audio clip you want to reverse and choose Process-Audio-Reverse from the menu.

it is a totally cool thing to mess with. Quick tip:

Sometimes, during an intro, I'll copy and reverse the first 4 measures or so then blend (using fade in/out) with the normal running audio. Basically what happens is the intro begins in reverse then blends smoothly (landing nicely on the beat) with the normal intro. A long slow fade out of the reverse into the same exact measures of the fade in sounds badass...sometimes. Kind of depends on the riff.

    anyway, just a thought.
