hi friends, got a problem with recording the local audio

Hi friends,
Got a problem recording on my sonar the music that I play on my computer, for instance, the music that is played on
my media player.
I got a patchmix on pci card e-mu 1212m
here is what I set on the patchmix
and as I said, can't record the local audio of the computer on the sonar.
what did I do wrong?

Thanks in advanced,
Ami.

Set Windows Media Play to play a song. Insert an audio track in sonar and set the input of the audio track to the channels on the souncard that Media Player is using.

Note: Make sure Sonar has the focus while doing this. If you switch to a different application, it will stop working.

Another way you can do it is to run a cable from the outputs on the 1212m to the inputs on the 1212m.

As Dave noted, it can be a little fidgety, but it can be done.
    Here's my setup:

If I lose the audio in Sonar, disarming the track and re-arming it will usually bring it back.
This brings the focus back to Sonar, and resets the connection.
