Does the 49.99 edition of home studio support midi? The comparison suggests that maybe not (black vs green dot).

    Yes, limited to 128 MIDI tracks per project, see http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=SONAR&language=3&help=Comparison.html

    then the color of the dots doesn't matter. The colors just represent the different editions of SONAR. So, if there's a dot in the column for a feature, then it means that feature is included.
